Terrible, Thanks for Asking

Terrible, Thanks for Asking was a podcast that centered on heavy topics: grief, loss, mental health, etc. Though our audience loved grief content and content related to our episodes (which you will find below), we wanted to have a splash of humor in everything we did — from the outro of the podcast to our social presence, which was my domain.
Below, you’ll find some of my favorite examples. Until the show sundowned and the Terrible, Thanks for Asking Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok were ultimately archived permanently, I was responsible for content creation, writing copy, and reel creation. I was also the community manager, fielding DMs, comments, and UGC.
Terrible, Thanks for Asking was... well, heavy! And our audience, though deeply engaged with our heavier content, also loved to laugh and have a moment's relief from the weight of grief or loss or mental health struggles. I suggested having a "meme" specific day for posts -- and people LOVED it. These are some of my favorites, harnessing pop and meme culture.
On Mother's Day, I created a post with a powerful quote from a specific episode and a callout to those who may not celebrate Mother's Day in the same way as the rest of the world -- something the audience always appreciated.
